Rossendale v Clitheroe 3/11/13

A big improvement in Rossendale’s point of view by beating Clitheroe 3-0 after 4 losses 2 draws and 1 win. After Gary’s, Darren’s, Gareth and Andrew`s training session last week Rossendale were determined to win.
The first match started with clitheroe kicking off and Rossendale defending. The rozzy side had put their strongest team out and lucky for us we won. Tom leach scoring 2 after a run all the way down the left touchline. And rowan`s try was a wrestle through the middle and a heave over the try line. Final score 3-0.
The second match went to Clitheroe but not after a good lot of tackling by Rossendale. 22 made in 20 minutes. Rozzy scored just the one try from their acting scrum half Ieuan after Tom Leach went to the blood bin. The try came from a driving scrum and a run down the wing and a lot of bending. Final score 1-5.
The awards went to Jamie for tackle hero making 8 tackles across the 2 games, although it could also have gone to Max for his die hard tackling. Man of the match went to Ieuan although could also have gone to Rowan for another solid performance.
