Tough Day to be a host and not qualify (hmm, sounds poinant)

Just like our national team we put on a magnificent event, sadly we were outmatched on the day by stronger teams and had to take early showers following the pool games.

The weather was kind to us, providing some clear skies and sun in to the afternoon as the competition really hotted up. Sadly our team couldn't break through the pool stages and bravely battled some great teams attending the event, whom really excelled on the day.

How a season of Rugby can change the U10's squads and some of the teams present, we were strong against last year, in the tournament though we found ourselves just short of the mark each game. Maybe the new rules, maybe the altitude of the 2nd tier pitches , maybe , maybe...,

Having spoken to the coaches we have some key lessons learnt and hope to improve throughout the season and take those lessons to next years tournament to be bigger, better , stronger as a team and we hope this will reflect in the progress through the tournament in to the Cup or Plate semi's in 2016.
