Better Late than never

Round robin with Bury and Ashton and Rossendale.
Bury VS Rossendale
A well-played game with brilliant tries from Oliver, Will and George. Both sides played fantastic. First half ended 2-2 and the second half 5-2 to Rossendale. Great tackling from Rossendale kept Bury on the back foot and set up some great attacking Rugby

Rossendale VS Ashton
A fantastic game! Well done everyone, as it was extremely cold! As the match started George ran in and tackled one of the Ashton players and the game had begun. Will injured his hand shortly after but came back fighting! George got hold of the ball and ran, sprinting for the try line. Straight away Rossendale 1 - Ashton 0. The ball got passed to Shaun and he made a fantastic run giving Rossendale a chance at another try, but unfortunately got tackled by Ashton. Jude injured himself but like Will came back strong. After receiving the ball Paddy made an excellent run and we got nearer to the try line. Derek saw an Ashton player with a chance of scoring a try but he tackled him brilliantly. Shaun had been passed the ball and ran for the try line hanging on to the ball whilst being tackled by four Ashton players. Shaun was injured not long after lying on the floor in pain but like a true Rossendale player he got back up and carried on with the game!
Second half
Jude started of the second half with a pretty good tackle. Ashton scored a try and the score came to 1-1. Josh was passed the ball and saw a gap in the Aston line and sprinted for it, with a chance of a try but he stood strong whilst being tackled by four Ashton players. Christian from Ashton, sprinted to the try line and scored an amazing try and it became 2-1 to Ashton. Ben then made a fantastic tackle one of two during the match. Soon after Ashton scored another try, Aston 3 – Rossendale 1. Callum received the ball and ran for the try line he was so close, the parents cheering him on but an Ashton player made a brilliant tackle and stopped from what could have been one good try. The ball was thrown at the lineout and George caught it but then dropped it backwards, Shaun grabbed the ball and made a run for the try line and scored a try and we were one up, 3- 2 . Ashton made a brilliant run but got tackled by Oliver. Jhonny hung on to the ball and managed not to get tackled by Ashton. Ashton was about to make another try but George ran across the pitch and tackled him and the ball went of offside and Ashton lost the try. Not long after Oliver scored another try and made the score 3-3. A minute after the whistle was blown and the match had ended. Bury played Ashton whilst Rossendale headed for the warmth.
Oliver made man of the match as he scored 4 tries and he tried really hard throughout the game! Well done!
