First home match of the season ends with a hard fought win for Rossendale U10’s.

This was a great game to watch (or referee) between 2 equally matched teams. It was the first game of contact rugby for many of the players on both sides, although seeing how both teams played you would never have guessed.
Blackpool had the dominance in the forwards and made it very difficult for Rossendale to win any clean ball from either the scrum or the lineout. The pace of the Rossendale backs, however, and some slick passing towards the end of the match from both forwards and backs alike ,ensured a fine win for the team.
Both teams must be congratulated on their knowledge of the game and the respect that they showed each other and the referee. The amount of quality tackles made, kept the scores down but made for a very exiting match.
Try scorers were Joe Bedlow (3) and Fin Wilby (1). The Top tackler award for this match goes to Tyler Johnson for the amount of quality tackles made (actually putting the attacker on the ground).
The Man of the Match award is given to the whole team this week, for a great team performance.
