Rossendale RUFC U14's returned to winning ways with a 48-0 win over Tyldesley

Well, a relatively easy game that we scored plenty of points and could of had plenty more if we hadnt juggled round as much but realistically that wouldnt have achieved us a great deal so it was good that we could use lads in different positions today to bring a bit of experience all around.

Thanks to the lads that played for the opposition. Its always hard to run up against your own team but sometimes its necessary and is good for the team overall to see how we play against each other in a competative game. I was very impressed how we played as a team despite at times some of our influential players being up against us so well done there.

One thing we must think of in games like that is to continue to work as a team instead of individuals trying to score all the time - by that I mean we must look at getting the ball out along the line in passing movements rather than keep trying to walk through defences using brute force and then getting caught and killing the ball and not capitalising on some good early movements. It's an easy trap to fall into but I'm not complaining about the big wins and some great tries.

No whinges from me we took our chances well and kept going until the end. It as nice to see some new names on the score sheets.

Thanks to the parents today for the lifts and support.

Please dont forget training on wednesday if you can - its a good hour and only a quid. Also it's the "bag pack" next saturday at Asda in Rawtenstall. I need some more volunteers please for a maximum of an hour and a half. It's for your own good, as the funds made go towards the junior section.
