The Rossendale u14’s returned to action on Sunday against a Blackpool side through to the final of the Blacksticks blue junior Vase challenge. The first 15 minutes of the game saw their own downfall as the Dale team went 3 tries down.
Once the Dale lads grabbed the mettle the game became a pulsating and thoroughly enjoyable affair between two evenly and entertainingly matched sides.
Man of the match Sam Wood backed up by double try scorer Sam Lowthion led the way with improving performances by Harry Clark and Jordan Hill.
A try by Sam Bedlow, two conversions and a penalty finished the game at 28-27 in favour of the visitors.
The team bid a fond farewell to Captain for the day Tom Dalton who has over the past few seasons made massive progress and his team mates and coaches wish him all the best.
Nice write up from the Blackpool coach too in our forums - https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/rossendalerufc/?section=forum&thread_id=33748&start=0
