rossendaleunder 14,s first adventure into blacksticks cup was a nerve jangleing game . a brisk start from oldham saw them provided the opposition at manor park and fought bravely ,to hang on too home advantage. a brisk start from oldham saw them open an early lead through there flying centre a young man known only as eric, who weaved hes way through a rossendale defence to go near enough the length of field . while rossy were still recovering the same young man must have thought christmas had come early , as he went on too do same again, luckily the conversion was missed and they only led 12 nil after 10 mins. rossy fought bck with courage and determination and some fine rugby and running from ben cameron saw rossy on the board,which was converted by kyle entwhistle.game on again,a fired up rossy then took game to oldham and played some brilliant rugby, to soon open up lead of 28points to 12 at half time , with tries comeing from ryan morgan , henry higgins , and kyle entwhistle early pressure in second half from oldham saw them get bck into game and take lead at one point 36 /33. dale reponded with some fine rugby and dogied determination which saw tries from ben cameron , george lukaszyk and the game clincher from jordan fairgreve, . goals were converted by kyle entwhistle and 1 from henry wilerby. the man of match award , was handed to ben cameron although anyone of 18 could have taken it . all in all a brilliant performance and something to build on . well done guys
