Rossendale, with 19 players in the squad, faced Aldwinians' squad of 26, but the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed as Aldwinians graciously lent 2 players to Rossendale to even the numbers.

The game began with Aldwinians taking the lead early on with the first try, showcasing their strength, especially considering their 1st and 2nd teams were idle. By halftime, Aldwinians had run in two more tries, leaving the score at 19-0 in their favour.

During the halftime talk, Rossendale recognized the potential in their strong backline and made some strategic changes. George Peel took over at the 10 position, and Rhys Dunn joined the left wing.
