A tough morning in Heaton Moor

After some good away results this season hopes were high for the trip to Heaton Moor in south Manchester.

The usual tense start saw the boys showing good form initially but an expansive and fast running HM team took advantage of our lack of pressure and missing tackles to easily take the first two quarters of the match.

Quarters three and four were slightly more balanced but the HM team reaped the benefit of their dry home pitch and the continuity of playing as a unit all winter. Our boys lifted their heads and put a better show on but the low tackle count did for us in the end and will require work on the training pitch.

Tackle Hero: Oliver Yates - continues with a fantastic comeback to the team and made a text book 'hit' to please the away fans.
Team Try: Henry Nuttall - one of only three for Rossendale but well taken with a strong finish.
Star Player: - Rory Pixton - did all he could to pressure the opposition, tackled, scored a try and creative in attack.
