Rossendale player to take a Coaching Role at Rochdale

Former Coach & Senior Player Danny Collins is Set to take on a New Challenge as Head Coach of Rochdale RUFC as from the start of Next season.

Danny had spent over Ten Season at the Club being part of two promotion winning seasons & Two Nat 3 Playoff Finals.

Danny said, “ I’m delighted to be joining Rochdale RUFC as Head Coach at such an important time in the club’s history with its centenary in the not too distant future. Being part of an exiting project at such a prestigious club is what really attracted me to the role”

“I would like to wish Danny  or  “DC” as he is commonly know all the best in his new Challenge as Player Coach ay Rochdale RUFC, and hope he can get them promotion back up to Level 5  so that we can once again enjoy our Local Derby’s.
Danny joined Rossendale in 2007 with Dave Wood from Manchester when we were at level 7 North Lancs Cumbria League. They managed to secure promotion in 2 consecutive years to our present league at level 5,
Danny was always a player that gave his ALL  and it was a pleasure to watch Danny in full flow with the ball under his arm, it was a brave man that was willing to stop him”.
Everyone at Marl Pits wishes Danny all the very best for the future with his new role.
