Down to earth with a big bump !

We shouldn't have had lunch ! There was a massive high on the back of the Preston game, however it's fair to say that the momentum unravelled in this one against a solid and well organised opposition.
We were always on the back foot, but at the break we had somehow managed to close the half at 2-2. The tries were both scored by Jason Wilkinson, his utter determination not to be beaten was simply brilliant, nothing was going to stop the second score, excellent battling physical effort.
The second half is best consigned to the bin as Southport dealt us a hard lesson. Dan came on and pulled a score back but we were not at the races in this one, so it was a regroup to the gazebo and a taste of a kind of hair dryer treatment from me. To be fair,bathe team knew it was a poor one, it set the last group game up nicely, we had to beat Altrincham Kelsall , who looked pretty handy top, if we were to progress to the knock out stages.
Time to stand up and be counted.
