The lack of match practice showed today as Rossendale U10s were outclassed by a fast, strong and well-organised Aspull team. Rossendale started the first half with the kick-off, but the first contact resulted in a turnover to Aspull. Within 2 minutes, Aspull had scored the first of five unanswered tries in the first half.
After the break, this time with the slope in Rossendale's favour, the boys started to work their way into the game, with more possession and forcing Aspull into some last ditch defence to prevent Rossendale from scoring. Rossendale’s only try of the game was scored by Henry Wilby.
Next week, the U10s hope to learn from this at their away game against Burnley.
