However in the second period Rossendale eventually let rip crossing for total of nine tries to take the bonus point and edge a little further up the N3N table.
In the opening half Steve Nutt for Rossendale and Simon Wilson exchanged penalties before straight from the second half restart Joe McCluskie opened the try count, benefitting from good recycling and driving play taking the ball deep into 'YM' territory. Nutt who also slotted eight conversions from the nine tries went in for the second, the full back coming up on the outside following a mid-field scrum. James Bramhall went in for the third again off good scrum ball with Danny Harrison bringing up the bonus point, taking the interception off what looked like a promising 'YM' attack.
Ryan McKibbin made it five, finding space after a catch and drive had sucked in a number of fringe defenders before Harrison went in for his second, good hands across the line leaving the opposition short on numbers out wide.
A pick up at the back of a scrum created the opportunity for George Peel to take the seventh before McCluskie, again on the back of some great handling, also got his second with Alex Isherwood rounding off probably the side's best display of the season so far the bringing up the ninth.
