Still with a number of senior players out and new faces to fit in this was a very workman like performance by the home side.
Rossendale were yet again slow to start allowing Billingham to take a 0-13 lead through through tries from Elliott Husband and Luke Wilson to add to an early penalty.
As Rossendale came into the game, a pick up 20 metres out by Paddy Pole carried on by George Peel who drew the full back before sending Rob Foxen on his way brought the first try for the home side for 5-13 at the interval
In the second half Foxen added the second coming off good forward pressure and control by Dominic Moon and neat link play by James Bramhall. Steve Nutt slotted the conversion and from a penalty to the corner, a catch and drive and some swift hands across the line Joe McCluskie claimed the third.
With the home side now in full control Nutt kicked a penalty before Danny Collins broke away and with Sam Atiola in support the inside pass put the centre over for the bonus try, Nutt again on hand with the extras.
