Irrespective of which league table is consulted take it as fact that Rossendale are fourth in National Three North following a nine try 57-15 win at home to Cleckheaton

In their last three matches the Marl Pits outfit have a amassed a total of 30 tries which the statisticians might inform is a record in its own right!

There is no doubt that the side have hit some good form and the effort from the whole team must give confidence to side and encouragement to the club.

Curtis Strong opened the scoring off turn over ball and good work by Dominic Moon, Simon Walker and George Peel, the full back entering the line at pace to take the scoring pass, Steve Nutt landing the conversion.

Moon added the second himself from a turn over at a Cleckheaton scrum and a 30 metre dash by Sam Atiola with the back row coming up in support on the inside, Nutt again on target.

A loose ball from a Cleckheaton attack was hacked on by Rob Foxen for the third, Nutt adding the conversion, with Peel from again turn over ball at a scrum, picked up by Ryan McKibbin and a through the legs pass by Nutt bringing up the fourth and the bonus point .
Just before the interval Josh Hall went in for the visitors with a penalty by Ian Gordon closing the half with Rossendale 26-8 ahead.
In the second period McKibbin claimed a try from a push over from a five metre scrum. Cleckheaton crossed for a second through Richard Piper but the Rossendale machine was now on a roll with Foxen in for his second, the winger benefitting from good play across the backline.

McKibbin came up in support of a break by Nutt for the seventh with Atiola put away by Jack Ward for the eighth.
The final try as the first fell to Strong coming on the inside to take the pass from Atiola after the winger had scooped up a loose pass from an opposition attack, Nutt kicking three more conversions.
