Rossendale were on the attack right from the first whistle as again the pack began to dominate proceedings.
A catch and drive followed by some neat handling between James Bramhall and Duncan Tout with Sam Atiola entering the line from the opposite wing, created enough of an overlap to get George Peel over for the opening try. Steve Nutt added the conversion and following a drive by the pack from a scrum 20 metres out the referee awarded a penalty try as the visitors were guilty of collapsing over their own line, Nutt again successful with the conversion.
Again from a catch and drive Bramhall and Nutt put Ward through the gap, the centre rounding the full back with a powerful hand off before going in under the posts leaving Nutt with the easy conversion for 21-0 at the interval.
In the second period from turn over ball Nutt kicked ahead and with the Doncaster full back spilling the ball Peel was on hand to mop up and cross for his second, Nutt again adding the conversion.
A break by Jack Ward set the up the opportunity for Atiola, the winger showing real pace from half way.
Doncaster hit back with a try before Tout rounded the afternoon off with his side's sixth try, continuous pressure and a swift pass from Kane Bevan getting the centre over
