Unable to pick up the bonus point they now trail league leaders Huddersfield by eleven points but with Wirral in third also unable to cross the line for a fourth it is 'as you where' in the battle for the second place play-off spot although Hull and Sandal have edged a point closer.
Rossendale opened with a try from Duncan Tout. A pick up at the back of a scrum 10 metres out by Ryan McKibbin and with Alex Isherwood making the 'hard yards' good hands from Lewis singleton and James Bramhall found the centre coming onto the ball at pace, Steve Nutt slotting the conversion.
Morley replied with a penalty from Mark Chesters but from a penalty line out taken by Reece Tomlinson, the drive got Isherwood over for the second as it was for the third this time claimed by Nick Flynn.
In the closing minutes Morley hit back with a try converted by Chesters to take a welcome losing bonus point .
