Dale fell behind to an unconverted try early on but responded with a try scored by Reece Tomlinson from a catch and drive after 12 minutes. Steve Nutt then converted to edge them in front, 5-7.
Jack Wilkinson and Curtis Strong added two further unconverted scores to extend Rossendale's lead, giving the visitors a 17-5 lead at the break. Hooker Wilkinson went over from a lineout drive before Strong finished a superb team move.
Doncaster narrowed the deficit with another try 10 minutes after the restart but Dale responded superbly with Strong's second of the day securing the try-scoring bonus-point. Nutt also slotted the conversion, 10-24.
A try from replacement James Bramhall combined with a late brace from man of the match Ryan McKibben then secured the win.
Nutt added one of the three conversions to complete the scoring, 10-41.
Rossendale have no game next week but will look to continue their winning run when they face Kendal the following weekend on home turf. Their visitors, who sit seventh, lost the reverse fixture when Dale claimed a 24-12 at Mint Bridge, making the home side the early favourites.
