With a slim chance of a playoff spot if results went their way Dale never really looked like winning this game as they were second best in most areas.
Dale started badly going down 19 points after only 15 minutes but showed why they’re the 3rd best team in the league by coming straight back with two fine tries from Paddy Pole and Anthony Bingham, Bramhall converted both. This however was the only bright spot of the afternoon as Sandal ran away worthy winners.
Rossendale players can be very proud of their effects this year coming third in a very competitive league and pushing for promotion to the very last; with a good pre season and hopefully a few new signings to strengthen the team up, another crack at promotion beckons.
