In a first half perhaps best forgotten Rossendale went in at the interval 5-0 ahead courtesy of a try, Reece Tomlinson claiming the honours after forward pressure had driven the ball over the line.
The second half however proved a much more satisfactory affair for the home side as they ran in three more tries to claim the bonus point.
From good back play between Harrison Moulding and George Peel with Rob Bramhall providing the vital link, Jack Ward went in under the posts presenting Lewis Allen with an easy conversion.
With Kendal reduced to fourteen due to a yellow card, Rossendale took full advantage and with Moulding noting the absence of a defending winger on the blindside of a scrum, the scrum half nipped through for the third.
Kendal came back with a try but from a break by Phil Mills and a neat pass inside to the supporting Bramhall the back row brought up the fourth and the bonus point, Allen again on target with the conversion.
