It was the boost to confidence the side have been looking for and will surely provide a platform for more winning results to come as the season moves into its final stages.
A forward drive and a great ball out from Harrison Moulding provided the opening try for Curtis Strong who went in at the corner, Lewis Allen adding the conversion.
A break by Lewis Pattinson and quick recycled ball created the opportunity for Jordan Lord to cross for the second, Allen's conversion affording a 14-0 lead.
However just before the interval Wilmslow crossed twice for 14-10 at half time.
The two tries from the opposition indicated the game was still far from won but a drive upfield by the pack and a great pass out wide from Lord sent Jake Foster away for the third and it was Foster again this time taking the scoring pass from Moulding after Rossendale had elected to take a scrum penalty to secure the bonus point, Allen again successful with the conversion.
With Rossendale now in full control a strong run by Lord opened the way for Dominic Moon to cross for a fifth and from another drive by the pack Moon had enough space to stroll over for the sixth.
In the closing stages Wilmslow came back with a converted try.
