Saturday saw Rossendales first visit to North shields and the Home of newly promoted Percy Park a ground and stadia that would be the envy of most Championship teams.
Early encounters saw the home team dominate and pick up on the errors that seemed to have followed on from the previous weeks encounter vs Chester. At times the dale outfit looked like they were still on the coach on the A1 somewhere, ponderous in their approach to the early encounters of the game. However Dale went in at half time leading. After two tries coming from errors and pressure from Kick off Paddy Pole dotting down with an interception and Sam lothain showing his pace in a kick chase. However Dale's continuing mistakes at key times and areas on the pitch took its toll and Percy Park went on to score 41 points despite tries from the crash ball James Bramhall and new signing Matt Smith at the close of play Rossendale suprisingly had a chance to draw the match with a touch line conversation going wide from what was otherwise a good return and kicking display from James Bramhall. Final score - Percy Park 41 - 39 Rossendale.
Dale play Sandal at home next sat who have been running up some cricket scores in their early matches.
