Rossendale took the lead with a try from Jamie Albinson off a
scrum fifteen metres out and following three phases of play the
scrum half found the gap to dart over, Steve Nutt adding the
conversion.
Penrith came back just before the break with a ty from Jamie
McNaughton converted by Mike Fearon to level matters at 7-7
The second half was all Rossendale. Leyton Taylor went over,
standing out after two phases of driving play after a five metre
scrum had sucked fringe defenders, Nutt on hand with the extras.
Tim Fourie claimed the touch down from a catch and drive with
Tom Albinson bringing up the bonus score supporting a break by
Jamie Albinson who had cut through the Penrith mid-field, Nutt
again adding the conversion.
Rossendale are at home to Huddersfield this Saturday in a
re-arranged league fixture postponed from 15th February.
