We scored summat and they scored nowt. That will teach the author to write things down through the game for the accuracy of the report. But lets have ago anyway and if I get it wrong, take it out on Paul.

With some mathematical formulas, ie the counting of fingers and some heavy head scratting in the club post match we got the score to be 45 –0.

A grand old effort from you on the pitch given the cold wet conditions that prevailed.
The visitors today come from a club with a very good junior pedigree and draw players from rugby playing schools, so they weren’t gonna be a push over. But they hadnt come up against the resurgent Dale side of late and I think we are going to create a few upsets along the way this season.

The early stages of the first half saw us sweep away any notion that Winnies had come to get a result with Mark scoring two of his trademark long distance tries leaving multiple defenders in his wake.
The lads followed this up with some cracking rugby putting relentless pressure on the visitors in their 22. Dividends paid up and Callum stormed in from close range to register a score in a game that’ saw him take the man of the match award for his endless effort and work rate.

Mark popped up again to score his third and Dale were cruising.

PG slotted over 3 of his conversion attempts to add the extras and we had a comfortable score to go into second half with.

If Winnies thought that the slope would help them at the turn around they were very much mistaken and Dale scored within the first few minutes to really sow the match up.
The half saw a further score from Mark, Rhys the exocet missile ( ony got one today not good enough must try harder but what a great run ) and Jordan drove over the line to get one for his account. Props are very much unsung heroes in the game and Jordan thoroughly deserved the score to mark what has been a couple of outstanding games over this last few weeks. His technical ability and knowledge is a real asset for the team, that should get me a pint next week from his folks.

PG added 2 more conversions which completed the scoring and the biggest cheer of the day from all the players and species as the final whistle went and we could get back down into the nice warm clubhouse.

We had a few players out today but the strength in depth helped us through and a big wrap to the 2 u12’s props who stepped up admirably, little does Dizzy know that they are now sign sealed and delivered for the 13’s from now on in. Well done guys.

Other noted matters of the day, I was impressed with Max at centre and really thought he had come on a bundle, the drive from Rhys were he just kept his legs pumping and pumping for half the field and Cameron who is starting to get himself more and more into the game as he learns and gets more experience.

I would also like to pay credit to the Aldwinian players today for battling on in the conditions and never giving up despite a heavy score line against them.So well done to them.

However our lads were really up for this and never gave them a look in. All the coaches feel that this was probably the best performance of the season so far. The backing up, looking for the off loads and the way our forwards dominated was thrilling to watch and we really moved up a notch on the way we played today.

All the players can take a big bow but as Paul said last week there are still things to work on and put right so lets not be complacent and continue to train as we have been doing in numbers. The feel good factor you get from the wins makes us all stand tall and I know that the parents are just as impressed with they way you are going about your business on the field.

Just a reminder however that training is not on this week as it is half term and Halloween.
Anyway I’m off to celebrate a bit more ..hic.. so well done again and keep the momentum up for next week...hic.
