Rossendale 20-25 Sale

It was clear from early on that Sale's backs had two outstanding centres, so Rossnedale had to work hard for any advantage. Rossendale opened the scoring with Declan Walmsley going over in the corner, unfortunately Sale hit back immediately through their centres. Rossendales skipper Charlie Farrow was having a fine game leading the forwards, helping standoff Brad to score Rossendales second TRY. Once again Sale came back to level the scores at half time to 10 / 10 .

In the second half Sale looked the stronger team scoring twice before Will Winton travelled from his own half to score a brilliant TRY. In the next phase Rossendales defence withstood immense pressure unfortunately succumbing to Sale once more, but Rossendale had the last word when Conner Bentley executed a fine run to score his first TRY.

Coaching staff were unable to name the man of the match due to outstanding effort from all who took part.
