After several weeks of inactivity the U13's ran out against local opposition Littleborough who have had similar pitch and fixture issues arising from the winter weather.
Our boys started brightest quickly building a three try lead before the visitors inevitably struck back - we have only ever had close games - but we ran in at half time five tries to two ahead. Worryingly the defence had started to creak and passes weren't going to hand although there were plenty of bright spots to note.
The second half was a different story with concerted Littleborough pressure exerted by some of their bigger lads driving through weak Rossy tackling at times. Four Littleborough tries against one in the second half (with one disallowed) meant all finished square but gave the home team quite a fright.
A bit more time on the pitch with a few more games should see the mistakes reduce and hope the attacking play continues.
