The U12's made the most of the downpour at Tyldesley to record a very impressive win against spirited opponents who had run them close at Marl Pits earlier in the season.
The first period saw three superbly worked tries before the cold and wet started to set in. Tyldesley rallied and held out apart from one more try in the second period which saw Rossendale a player down for a time. The Tyldesley coaches called time in the deluge after three periods which allowed them a consolation try from some driving play but Rossendale scored two more to come out on top.
Some really excellent passages of play, individual efforts at the ruck and great team spirit made this a pleasurable morning for us coaches and the parents on the most miserable of mornings. Well done to the boys.
