On a beautiful early summer day the U12's took a well deserved victory in the third tier final at Tarleton for the Lancashire Cup waterfall finals - top 12 teams in Lancashire.
The boys rallied from a difficult morning being beaten by Preston (you're kidding, after we just beat them twice in their own tournament?) and a strong Liverpool Collegiate outfit.
Rallying words from the coaches and some sustenance saw the boys in the third group for the afternoon against Vale of Lune, Littleborough and Tarleton. A close win against Vale brought renewed confidence for a well deserved and about-time-too victory over Littleborough (no offence chaps but you have been on top of us a bit too long) meaning, somewhat oddly, they played Vale again in the final! Some strong forward play, some great hands in the backs and the mentality of winners saw the boys home resoundingly to take a well deserved win.
Step forward and take a bow the entire squad. A good end to a very pleasing season. Well done. And, thanks to the parents for continued support.
Martin, Dave, Matthew and Jonathan.
