Burnley U12's

Good game, shame we had to cut short. Thanks all players and parents for their support at the end of the game.

From the off we were up against it..., Burnley fielded some quality players alongside some new starters, but like Fleetwoord last week, it didn't really impede their team in finding the try line or building a decent defense against us.

The Rossendale players were spirited and were working the communication well.., "ready ready ready - Push" Ha! Good work all.

Wet and muddy the boys pulled together a good hand-full, and a few more, try's. A good display and well done the try scorers and especially Kyle tackling, good show again Charlie and Tommy improving week on week. I am sure the weather and pitch contributed but it felt, in retrospect, we missed stopping key opportunities with a general lack of tackles - but it's something we can take on this week in training and try and improve as a team.

Tuesdays we are now Training up at Crow-Wood (Soccer Burnley) on the 4G pitches ( Royle Lane, Burnley BB12 0RT) 7 - 8pm.
Sunday we are playing Fleetwood at HOME. 10:30am meet.

*Note: Bit of a reminder for players & parents, were running a full team of around 14 players, we should be playing 12 on the pitch at this age. Most weekends we'll have a couple away or with other commitments which is entirely fair enough, so there's not much wiggle room for us to field a squad and or subs is a luxury. With that in mind, if there are friends / extended family with children at the 12 age group (Year 7) in to sport, athletics and would like to give Rugby a bit of a go, please do ask around and let me know. Infact if you can make a pest of your self asking around that would be appreciated (Smiley Face). New players are more than welcome and needed.
