Rossendale U12s lost to a skilled West Park team

West Park St Helens came to Marl Pits on Sunday and left with a victory scoreline that wasn't fair to the way the Dale team played. The first half performance was by far the best of the season so far, with big tackles and hard running evident across the field.

For the first rime this season, the opposition matched the lads in the pack, and were very well drilled in both attack and defence; and this organisation saw them through.

To the positives.... you ran forward hard, you tackled well (with some real crunching tackles on show), you worked hard for each other, and that's why it's so hard to swallow such a heavy scoreline.

But the improvement was evident on Sunday, so we'll put this result behind us and if we continue to play that way, the results will come.

Well done to every single one of you... you can hold your head up.
