Good evening everyone. Where do I start with today’s round up of various events both on and off the pitch.
Let’s get the negative stuff over and done with. Appalling tackles, high tackles, punches thrown and crowd separation at one point in the game because of undisciplined players which led to 15 mins of discussion in the centre of the field with both coaches and safeguarding officials and referee. Lots of comments on our Facebook page for you all to read about the appalling behaviour from today.
Outcome to be advised. Watch this space.
Positive notes.
Discipline, team work, commitment, friendship - standing together as one until the last whistle.
Well done everyone concerned even the ones who had to become ADJUSTABLE to new positions due team selection and availability. Well done everyone who fought with passion for the first try which erupted due to ill disciplined opposition who tried to put a SPANNER into the way we played our game.
The second and third tries we’re just individual class once again created from us looking after the ball and making good decisions when it counted. Pleasure to see everyone celebrating as a team.
After a first half which saw the home team score 19 points and then to be reduced to only a penalty kick in the second showed that we were very much on top of this game throughout the second half. The commitment you displayed showed everyone watching that you will be a great team to watch and support throughout the season by sticking together and never giving up despite everything that gets thrown against you.
Hold your heads high tonight be proud and stay positive. Reflect on your individual performance and bring positive minds to training on Wednesday night.
You will have your opportunity to wright some wrongs in the return fixture before Christmas.
